Pain affects millions of people—20% of U.S. adults report suffering from chronic pain, according to a National Health Interview Survey. Many are now turning to CBD for relief.
For example, a Cureus case study detailed how a woman with neurofibromatosis type 1, who experienced severe pain from tumors, found significant relief using CBD oil. Over three months, a 4 mg dose of CBD twice daily reduced her pain from a 6/10 to a 1/10. Additionally, her anxiety improved, migraines decreased, and she reduced her reliance on anti-inflammatory medications.
CBD for Schizophrenia
Research in the Schizophrenia Bulletin Open journal suggests CBD may offer antipsychotic benefits. Studies indicate that CBD can block the GPR55 receptor, which plays a role in neuroinflammation and neuronal excitability—factors linked to schizophrenia, epilepsy, and Alzheimer’s disease.
