1. What is CBD Salve?

CBD salve is a topical application infused with CBD extract, usually mixed with other ingredients such as essential oils, beeswax, and carrier oils. The salve is designed to be applied to the skin to provide localized relief for pain, inflammation, and other conditions.

2. How Does CBD Salve Work?

The Endocannabinoid System

To understand how CBD salve works, it’s essential to know about the endocannabinoid system (ECS). The ECS is a biological system present in all mammals, including humans, and plays a vital role in regulating various bodily functions such as pain, inflammation, mood, appetite, and sleep.

The ECS consists of three components: endocannabinoids, receptors, and enzymes. Endocannabinoids are naturally produced in the body and bind to receptors, which are found throughout the body, including the skin. Enzymes break down endocannabinoids once they have fulfilled their function.

Interaction with Receptors

CBD interacts with the ECS by binding to receptors, such as CB1 and CB2, found in the skin, muscles, and other tissues. The compound does not bind directly to the receptors but instead stimulates the ECS to produce more endocannabinoids or prevents enzymes from breaking them down.

When CBD is applied topically, it penetrates the skin and interacts with the receptors, providing localized relief for pain, inflammation, and other conditions.

3. Benefits of CBD Salve

CBD salve has several potential benefits, including:

Pain Relief

One of the most common uses of CBD salve is to reduce pain. The compound has been shown to be effective in reducing pain caused by conditions such as arthritis, back pain, and neuropathic pain.

Anti-inflammatory Properties

Soothes Skin Irritations

CBD salve may help soothe skin irritations such as rashes, bug bites, and sunburns.

Promotes Relaxation

CBD has been shown to have calming effects, making it useful for promoting relaxation and reducing anxiety.

4. How to Use CBD Salve

CBD salve is easy to use. Simply apply a small amount to the affected area and massage it into the skin until fully absorbed. It’s important to start with a small amount and gradually increase as needed.

5. Are There Any Side Effects of CBD Salve?

CBD is generally considered safe, and side effects are rare. However, some people may experience mild side effects such as dry mouth, fatigue, and dizziness.

6. Choosing the Right CBD Salve

When choosing a CBD salve, it’s important to look for high-quality products that are third-party tested for purity and potency. Look for products that use organically grown hemp and contain no harmful additives or chemicals. You may also want to consider the concentration of CBD in the product and the other ingredients used, such as essential oils and carrier oils.

7. Conclusion

CBD salve is a topical application infused with CBD extract that provides localized relief for pain, inflammation, and other conditions. The compound interacts with the ECS by binding to receptors found in the skin and other tissues, providing a range of potential benefits, including pain relief, anti-inflammatory properties, and relaxation. What type of CBD is best for rheumatoid arthritis? Oil or topical

You might be wondering what kind of CBD is best for your symptoms if you have rheumatoid arthritis. An oil you take orally or a cream that you rub on.

There are numerous varieties of CBD products available, and each one has unique health advantages. CBD can be consumed orally as an oil or topically as a cream or salve. This article will break down each technique so you can choose which is best for you.

a cbd oil or cbd cream

CBD is used for rheumatoid arthritis as a supplement.

An autoimmune condition known as rheumatoid arthritis (RA) causes inflammation in the joints. Your skin, eyes, lungs, heart, and other bodily organs can also be impacted by it.

CBD is short for cannabidiol — one of more than 100 cannabinoids found in cannabis plants like hemp or marijuana. You may have heard about THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), which is another cannabinoid that gives users a high when they use marijuana products such as edibles or vape pens with THC-infused oil cartridges. However, unlike THC, CBD isn’t psychoactive; it won’t make you high because it doesn’t engage the same brain receptors that THC does.

Instead of getting you stoned or sleepy like some other common medical treatments do (think opioids), studies show that taking CBD supplements helps relax muscles and reduce swelling caused by RA flare-ups without causing any side effects — except maybe making people feel better overall!

CBD oil is typically taken orally in drops under the tongue.

CBD oil is typically taken orally, in the form of drops under the tongue. It’s important to note that CBD oil is low in THC and won’t get you high unless you take a lot of it (which can be dangerous).

CBD oils are concentrated forms of CBD that are made by extracting cannabinoids from hemp plants and then diluting them with a carrier liquid like MCT coconut oil, hemp seed oil or olive oil. They’re often sold as tinctures–liquid extracts that come in small bottles with dropper tops.

Topical CBD is applied to the skin, usually in lotions or creams.

There are many different ways to apply CBD to your skin. You can use it in lotions, creams and even oils. The amount of CBD that gets absorbed depends on how much you apply and how often you use it.

The time it takes for you to feel any effects from topical application will depend on how much of the product was absorbed by your body.

CBD oil, which is a concentrated form of cannabidiol is not recommended for use on the skin because it can cause irritation and redness when applied directly to sensitive areas like your face or hands. Instead, use topical creams or lotions that won’t cause irritation like other oils would when applied directly to your skin!

It’s important to know what type of cbd to use for your symptoms

CBD is a supplement, not a cure. It’s important to know what type of CBD is best for your symptoms. If you’re looking for relief from pain and inflammation, then an creams and salves are likely your best option. If anxiety or sleep issues are your primary concern, then oils might be the better choice.

The most common types of arthritis include rheumatoid arthritis (RA), osteoarthritis (OA) and gouty arthritis. RA affects about 1% of everyone worldwide.

Conclusion

CBD is a promising treatment for rheumatoid arthritis and other arthritic conditions, but it’s important to know which type of CBD is right for you. I hope I helped you understand the different types of CBD products available and what they do so that you can make an informed decision about your wellness.

Tendonitis, a painful and debilitating condition, affects countless individuals around the world. As conventional treatments don’t always provide relief, many are turning to alternative solutions. One such option is cannabidiol (CBD) cream, a natural remedy known for its anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. In this article, we’ll delve into the best CBD cream strength for tendonitis, discussing key factors to consider, application tips, and frequently asked questions.

Understanding Tendonitis and the Role of CBD

What is Tendonitis?

Tendonitis, also known as tendinitis, is the inflammation of a tendon, the thick cord-like structure that connects muscles to bones. This inflammation often leads to pain, swelling, and discomfort. Tendonitis can affect various parts of the body, including the shoulders, elbows, wrists, knees, and heels.

How CBD Cream Can Help with Tendonitis

CBD, a non-psychoactive compound found in cannabis plants, has gained popularity for its potential health benefits. CBD creams, in particular, can help alleviate tendonitis pain by:

  • Reducing inflammation: CBD has anti-inflammatory properties that may help decrease swelling and inflammation in the affected area.
  • Alleviating pain: CBD interacts with the body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS), which plays a vital role in regulating pain perception.
  • Supporting recovery: By reducing inflammation and pain, CBD creams may help support the body’s natural healing process.

Choosing the Best CBD Cream Strength for Tendonitis

Factors to Consider

  • Concentration: CBD creams come in various concentrations, usually measured in milligrams (mg) of CBD per container. Higher concentrations may offer stronger relief, but it’s crucial to find the right balance for your needs.
  • Quality: Opt for products from reputable companies that provide third-party lab test results to ensure purity and potency.
  • Type of CBD: Full-spectrum, broad-spectrum, and CBD isolate are the three main types of CBD extracts. Full-spectrum contains all the cannabinoids, including trace amounts of THC, while broad-spectrum and isolates are THC-free.
  • Additional ingredients: Look for creams with added natural ingredients, such as essential oils or botanical extracts, to further enhance the product’s effectiveness.

Recommended Strengths

When determining the best CBD cream strength for tendonitis, consider starting with a moderate concentration, such as 1000 mg per container. You can always increase or decrease the strength based on your personal experience and response to the product, all the way up to 5000 mg, 10,000 mg and in some extreme cases 20,000 mg. Remember that individual responses to CBD may vary, and what works for one person might not work for another.

Tips for Using CBD Cream for Tendonitis Relief

Clean the affected area thoroughly before applying the cream.
Apply a small amount of CBD cream to the inflamed area and gently massage it in.
Start with a lower dosage and gradually increase until you find the most effective strength for your tendonitis.
Be consistent with your application, applying the cream 2-3 times a day, or as directed by the product label or your healthcare provider.

Consult your healthcare provider before using CBD cream, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, or taking other medications.

Unlocking the Therapeutic Potential of CBD: A Guide to Its Effects on the Human Body

Cannabidiol, also known as CBD, is a chemical that is primarily present in some strains of the cannabis plant Cannabis sativa L. The following section will go over its numerous advantageous effects on the human body as a non-psychoactive substance.

Chemically speaking, CBD belongs to the class of terpeno-phenolic compounds, which are produced in large quantities in glandular trichomes, hair-like structures that are found on the surfaces of Cannabis plants.

A Brief History of Cannabis

Cannabis, a plant native to China and other parts of Asia, has been used for medicinal purposes since ancient times. However, it wasn’t until the 1830s that it was introduced to Western. More than a century later, the plant was added to the List of Drugs as a Schedule I drug, as part of the Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs from 1961. The Convention restricts the use of Cannabis, but with some exemptions for industrial, horticultural, research, and medical purposes.

The research on Cannabis and its naturally occurring phytocannabinoids has been ongoing, with many milestones achieved along the way. One such milestone was the structural identification of the psychoactive THC, confirmed back in 1964 (Gaoni and Mechoulam, 1964). Although CBD, the most recognized phytocannabinoid, was isolated from the plant for the first time in 1940, the complete structural identification was not reported until almost three decades later (Adams et al., 1940; Petrzilka et al., 1969).

In the 1980s, the endocannabinoid system was discovered in the human body, which led to even more studies on the physiological effects of Cannabis and phytocannabinoids at a higher level (Devane et al., 1988; Kinghorn et al., 2017). Clinical studies have proven the beneficial effects of Cannabis, leading to the registration of medicines like Sativex®. This cannabis-based medicinal product was registered in Europe in 2010 and is currently the most prevalent product of its kind marketed in Europe (Bramness et al., 2018).

In 2017, Bedrocan, a Dutch company, became the world’s first producer of medicinal Cannabis that complied with the European Medicines Agency’s good manufacturing practice (GMP) standards.

The Source of CBD and Other Phytocannabinoids

The Cannabis plant is an annual herbaceous flowering plant that is characterized by its recognizable leaves and distinct aroma (Figure 3). It can be grown either indoors or outdoors, depending on the intended purpose and specific variety of the plant. Indoor cultivation under controlled environmental conditions is crucial for producing Cannabis in the pharmaceutical industry, as it yields high-quality biomass with a consistent composition. On the other hand, outdoor production is more suitable for industrial purposes, such as in the foodstuff industry, as it is a more economically affordable yet still efficient option.

According to taxonomists Schultes et al. (1974), there are three subspecies of Cannabis, all falling under the name Cannabis sativa L.: sativa, indica, and the less widespread and economically significant ruderalis. Some varieties of Sativa include the well-known “industrial hemp” or “hemp” varieties that are legally used for foodstuff production and other industrial purposes. The primary differences between sativa and indica are in their cannabinoid profile and taxonomic classification. Sativa plants tend to be taller, ranging from 2.5 to 3.5 meters, while indica varieties are generally shorter, with an average height of below 2 meters, and appear bushier with broader and darker green leaves. Additionally, Sativa plants have fibers with higher strength.

The Cannabis plant is a rich source of phytocannabinoids, including the popular CBD. Ongoing research continues to reveal the therapeutic potential of Cannabis and its derivatives, as well as their physiological effects on the human body.

Cannabis has been found to contain over 560 natural compounds, with more than 140 of them being phytocannabinoids – complex compounds formed within the tiny trichomes of the plant through biochemical reactions. Trichomes, which are visible to the naked eye on the plant’s flowers, leaves, and stems, are the site of the production of these substances. In addition to phytocannabinoids, another essential group of naturally occurring substances found in trichomes are terpenes, which are responsible for the distinct aroma of cannabis. The quantity of phytocannabinoids produced in Cannabis is strongly influenced by the plant’s variety and the environmental conditions during its growth.

How Do We Pull The Extract from The Plant?

Extraction is a crucial process for separating specific compounds or mixtures from a given matrix. In the world of Cannabis, extraction involves the separation of various beneficial substances such as phytocannabinoids (including CBD), terpenes, and fatty acids from different parts of the plant, including the flowers, leaves, stems, and seeds.

Various industries such as food, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals have been using different types of extraction processes for many years. For Cannabis extraction, there are primarily three types used:

  • Cold-pressed extraction: This method is utilized to extract oil from Cannabis seeds, resulting in an oil rich in essential fatty acids that is suitable for salads and other culinary applications (Figure 5).
  • Organic solvent extraction: This method uses organic solvents to separate different compounds from the plant matrix. This method has been used for many years, but concerns about the safety of residual solvents in the final product have limited its use in recent times.
  • Supercritical carbon dioxide (sCO2) extraction: This method is most commonly used to produce “full-spectrum” extracts that contain various phytocannabinoids, terpenes, and other beneficial compounds . It is a green technique that uses CO2, a GRAS (“generally recognized as safe”) solvent that evaporates at the end of the process, leaving no dangerous residues in the final product. This method is becoming increasingly popular because it is safe, efficient, and environmentally friendly. This is the method we use!

In summary, the extraction process is crucial for isolating specific compounds and mixtures from the Cannabis plant. The use of organic solvents has decreased in recent years due to concerns about safety, while the use of sCO2 extraction is becoming increasingly popular due to its effectiveness, safety, and environmental friendliness.

How CBD Interacts With Your Body

Endocannabinoids are lipid-based neurotransmitters that are synthesized on-demand in response to specific physiological stimuli. The two most well-studied endocannabinoids are anandamide (AEA) and 2-arachidonoylglycerol (2-AG), which are produced from fatty acid precursors found in cell membranes.

Endocannabinoids are involved in a variety of physiological processes, such as pain modulation, appetite regulation, mood and emotion, immune function, and sleep. The endocannabinoid system, which includes the cannabinoid receptors and enzymes involved in endocannabinoid synthesis and degradation, plays a crucial role in maintaining homeostasis in the body. When there is an imbalance in the body, the endocannabinoid system is activated to restore balance, making it a potential target for therapeutic interventions.

Similarly, endocannabinoids interact with a group of receptors called cannabinoid receptors, which are found throughout the human body. These receptors are part of the endocannabinoid system, which plays a key role in regulating a wide range of physiological processes including pain sensation, appetite, mood, and immune function. Endocannabinoids are produced on demand and act as retrograde signaling molecules, meaning they are synthesized and released by postsynaptic neurons and then travel back across the synapse to act on presynaptic neurons. This feedback loop helps to regulate the activity of neurons and maintain homeostasis in the body.

The endocannabinoids that interact with these receptors are primarily anandamide and 2-arachidonoylglycerol (2-AG). Anandamide is synthesized on demand in response to certain physiological needs, and it is rapidly degraded by the enzyme fatty acid amide hydrolase (FAAH) after it has fulfilled its function. 2-AG, on the other hand, is produced on demand but can also be stored in the cell membrane and released when needed.

The ECS has been implicated in various physiological and pathological conditions, including pain, anxiety, depression, inflammation, and neurodegenerative diseases. Modulation of the ECS has been proposed as a potential therapeutic strategy for these conditions, and cannabinoids such as CBD and THC have been studied for their effects on the ECS and their potential therapeutic uses.

Endocannabinoids, CBD and THC what’s the Difference?

Endocannabinoids are bioactive compounds that are formed and broken down in the human body through complex biochemical reactions that involve many enzymes. There are several known endocannabinoids, including anandamide (AEA) and 2-arachidonoyl glycerol (2-AG). Both AEA and 2-AG interact with the CB1 and CB2 receptors, but they have different affinities for each receptor. Phytocannabinoids, which are structurally and spatially similar to endocannabinoids, also interact with CB1 and/or CB2 receptors, but their affinities for receptors vary considerably, resulting in varying physiological effects.

For instance, THC’s psychotropic effect is caused by its interaction with the CB1 receptor. In contrast, CBD interacts with the CB2 receptor and does not produce any psychotropic effects. Instead, CBD is associated with several other beneficial effects. Interestingly, CBD can also affect the interaction between THC and the CB1 receptor, reducing THC’s psychoactive effects. These interactions make the story even more complicated.

Furthermore, cannabinoids have been shown to affect other systems in the body through interactions with opioid, serotonin, and nuclear receptors and transient receptor potential (TRP) ion channels. Research has confirmed that the control of body temperature and pain relief transfer is partially related to the interaction of cannabinoids with TRP channels. Based on these findings, the role of cannabinoids in physiological processes such as appetite and pain sensation, the control of chronic pain, metabolism, mood, and the regulation of immune cell functions is continually being studied and, to some extent, confirmed.

The most extensively studied cannabinoid is CBD.

Identification of the Endocannabinoid System

The identification of the endocannabinoid system sparked a significant increase in research examining its physiological functions and the effects of endocannabinoids and phytocannabinoids on both humans and animals. Studies in this area can take various forms, including:

• In vitro studies, which utilize cell lines to investigate the effects of cannabinoids.

• Animal studies, where the effects of cannabinoids are tested on animal models such as mice and rats.

• Clinical studies, where the effects of cannabinoids are studied on healthy volunteers and individuals with specific conditions that are being targeted in the trial.

By utilizing these types of studies, researchers can gain a better understanding of the potential therapeutic benefits of cannabinoids and how they can be used to treat various conditions.

The discovery of the endocannabinoid system has led to a surge of research studies aimed at understanding the physiological functions and effects of endocannabinoids and phytocannabinoids in humans and animals. In order to assess the effects of these substances, different types of studies are conducted, including in vitro studies using cell lines, animal studies using mice and rats, and clinical studies with healthy volunteers or individuals with specific conditions being studied.

CBD is the most extensively studied phytocannabinoid due to its abundance in most Cannabis plant varieties and its confirmed beneficial effects, which have been demonstrated not only in vitro and animal studies but also in clinical trials with humans. These effects include anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidative, anti-emetic, anti-psychotic, anti-convulsant, and pain relief effects. Additionally, pre-treatment with CBD has been shown to reduce the psychotic effects of THC, and CBD has demonstrated promising results in improving symptoms and quality of life in patients with conditions such as schizophrenia and Parkinson’s disease.

CBD has been most extensively studied in the treatment of various types of epilepsy, including refractory epilepsy or drug-resistant epilepsy. Promising results have been reported in clinical trials with CBD as an add-on or adjuvant therapy for children with refractory epilepsies, where approximately half of the patients receiving add-on therapy experienced a significant reduction in seizure burden, and some even became seizure-free. Positive effects such as improved behavior, sleep, motor functions, cognitive functions, appetite, joyfulness, speech, and communication were also observed.

Taking CBD Orally How Much To Take

Every individual is unique, and as a result, the response to CBD products can vary. In particular, if a user is highly sensitive to additives, foods, cosmetics, or medications, it is recommended to start with low doses of CBD – no more than 10 mg per day. For those who are less sensitive, the suggested starting daily dosage is between 20 and 30 mg. Ideally, the recommended dose should be calculated based on the user’s body weight, which should be around 0.5 mg of CBD per kilogram of body weight per day. For instance, a person weighing 60 kg should take about 30 mg of CBD daily.

It is recommended that the user stick with the initial daily dose for at least 10 days. If the desired effect is not achieved, the dosage can be doubled, and the user can continue with that amount for the next 10 days. The table below illustrates an example of the dosing of the most popular CBD drops. If the desired effect is still not achieved, gradually increasing the dosage, as shown in the table below (with a higher dose every 10 days), is recommended. The daily dose can be taken in one go, in the evening, or spread throughout the day (morning, mid-day, and evening).

Due to the diverse response of the human body to the use of CBD, the ideal dosage may vary from person to person. While some people find relief by taking 25-30 mg of CBD daily, others may require higher doses, such as 60 mg per day. It is natural for the body to experience fluctuations in stress levels and other symptoms, which means that the dosage can be adjusted during use. Therefore, it is recommended that users keep track of their status and any observed changes over time. If CBD is used for general well-being, users can monitor changes in stress levels, mood, and sleep quality. It is important to note that changes may not always be noticeable, particularly during the initial stages of use when the user is trying to determine the most effective dosage for their needs. CBD products may also lead to changes in chronic problems such as anxiety, headaches, stress, and other prolonged health issues.

While many studies have confirmed the safety of CBD, it is important to exercise caution. For instance, when used in combination with other medications, it is advisable to consult a personal physician before using CBD products. Experts do not recommend taking more than 70 mg of CBD daily, and if the user intends to take such high doses, consulting a personal physician is strongly recommended. Moreover, due to the lack of clinical studies, CBD products are currently not recommended for pregnant women, nursing mothers, and children unless a personal physician evaluates the benefit-risk assessment of CBD to be positive.

CBD has no negative side effects?

According to a review paper by Bergamaschi et al. (2011), more than 20 clinical studies were conducted with varying daily doses of CBD, ranging from a few mg to as much as 1500 mg per day. None of these studies reported any effects on psychomotor and physiological parameters such as blood pressure, heart rate, and body temperature. Moreover, the chronic use of high doses of CBD was reported as well-tolerated. This finding is consistent with the WHO Critical report on CBD (2018) which confirmed the good safety profile of CBD.

Despite the good safety profile of CBD, it has the potential to cause some interactions with other drugs by interfering with hepatic drug metabolism. Therefore, it is highly recommended that patients consult with their personal doctor before combining CBD with any medication.

Conclusion

CBD is a versatile product that can be incorporated into our lives in many ways. It is available in various forms, such as cosmetics, personal care products, drinks, chocolates, and even food supplements in the form of gummies. These products are highly popular among people facing physiological and psychological problems as well as those who want to maintain their well-being.

In general, the use of CBD products is safe, and serious side effects are not expected. However, it is essential to check the producer and quality of the product to avoid any potential unwanted events.

Can I Build A Tolerance TO CBD?

A Break Down of the Article:

  • Studies suggest it is not possible to build tolerance to CBD.
  • The human body is effective at adapting to substances, but changes in body chemistry or CBD quality may affect the desired effects.
  • CBD indirectly reduces the activity of CB1 and CB2 receptors, so it does not bind to the receptors, and theoretically should not build tolerance.
  • CBD produces a “reverse tolerance” over long-term use, where someone needs less of a substance to achieve the desired effects.
  • THC tolerance is noticeable mostly on the cellular level, especially with prolonged use.
  • Tolerance is different from dependence, where dependence is what happens when you experience withdrawal symptoms.
  • Fluctuations in CBD effectiveness can vary depending on age, genetics, sex, metabolism, weight, dosage, type & quality of product, and experience with CBD.

? CBD does not build tolerance, and may even have a “reverse tolerance” effect.

? Changes in body chemistry and CBD quality may affect desired effects.

? CBD indirectly reduces activity of CB receptors, and does not bind to them.

? THC tolerance is noticeable mostly on the cellular level.

? Tolerance is different from dependence, where dependence is what happens when you experience withdrawal symptoms.

? Fluctuations in CBD effectiveness can vary depending on several factors.

What Do The Studies Say?

CBD seems to be every where these days. It has become increasingly popular because of its potential health benefits, but some concerns have been raised about the development of tolerance with long-term use. However, studies suggest that it is not possible to build tolerance to CBD, unlike other substances such as opioids and benzodiazepines.

In a study published in the journal Frontiers in Pharmacology, researchers found that chronic CBD administration did not result in the development of tolerance in rats. The study concluded that CBD does not produce tolerance, even with prolonged use, and does not have a potential for abuse or dependence.

Similarly, a review published in the journal Current Drug Safety found that CBD does not produce tolerance or withdrawal symptoms, and its long-term use is well-tolerated in humans. These findings are promising for the potential use of CBD as a safe and effective treatment for various health conditions without the risk of tolerance development.

The human body is effective at adapting to substances, but changes in body chemistry or CBD quality may affect the desired effects.

The human body is remarkably adaptive and can develop a tolerance to various substances over time. However, changes in body chemistry or the quality of the CBD product used can affect the desired effects and potentially negate the development of tolerance.

For example, a study published in the Journal of Clinical Psychopharmacology found that the effectiveness of CBD for anxiety decreased over time in participants who used the same dose and product. The researchers suggested that changes in body chemistry, such as changes in hormone levels or stress levels, could be responsible for the reduced effectiveness.

Moreover, the quality of CBD products can vary widely, and poor quality products may not contain the advertised amount of CBD or may contain harmful contaminants. It is crucial to purchase high-quality CBD products from reputable sources to ensure consistent and effective results.

CBD indirectly reduces the activity of CB1 and CB2 receptors, so it does not bind to the receptors, and theoretically should not build tolerance.

CBD works by indirectly reducing the activity of cannabinoid receptors CB1 and CB2, which are responsible for the psychoactive effects of THC. Unlike THC, which binds directly to these receptors, CBD does not bind to the receptors and theoretically should not build tolerance.

A study published in the British Journal of Pharmacology found that CBD reduced the activity of CB1 receptors by indirectly activating a receptor known as 5-HT1A. The study suggested that the reduction in CB1 receptor activity could contribute to the therapeutic effects of CBD without producing tolerance or dependence.

Furthermore, a review published in the journal Cannabis and Cannabinoid Research suggested that CBD’s lack of direct activity on CB1 and CB2 receptors may explain its low potential for abuse and dependence. These findings highlight the potential of CBD as a safe and effective treatment option for various health conditions without the risk of tolerance development.

CBD produces a “reverse tolerance” over long-term use, where someone needs less of a substance to achieve the desired effects.

While tolerance is a concern with many substances, CBD may actually produce a “reverse tolerance” effect over long-term use. This means that someone may need less of the substance to achieve the desired effects over time.

A study published in the journal Cannabis and Cannabinoid Research found that chronic CBD use in rats resulted in a reduction in the amount of CBD needed to produce the same effects. The researchers suggested that this effect may be due to changes in the body’s endocannabinoid system, which regulates various physiological processes.

Moreover, a review published in the journal Neurotherapeutics suggested that CBD’s “reverse tolerance” effect may have important clinical implications for the treatment of various health conditions. These findings highlight the potential of CBD as a safe and effective treatment option with the added benefit of potentially needing less of the substance over time.

THC tolerance is noticeable mostly on the cellular level, especially with prolonged use.

Unlike CBD, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the psychoactive component of cannabis, can lead to the development of tolerance with prolonged use. However, the effects of THC tolerance are mostly noticeable on the cellular level.

A study published in the journal Neuropharmacology found that chronic THC exposure led to a reduction in CB1 receptor activity in rats. The study suggested that this reduction in receptor activity could contribute to the development of tolerance to THC.

Moreover, a review published in the journal Neuroscience and Biobehavioral Reviews found that chronic THC use can lead to changes in brain function and structure, including reduced gray matter volume and altered neural activity. These changes may contribute to the development of tolerance to THC and other negative effects associated with chronic cannabis use.

Tolerance is different from dependence, where dependence is what happens when you experience withdrawal symptoms.

It is important to note that tolerance is different from dependence. Tolerance refers to the body’s reduced response to a substance with prolonged use, while dependence refers to the development of withdrawal symptoms when the substance is discontinued.

A review published in the Journal of Addiction Medicine suggested that while tolerance and dependence are related, they are distinct phenomena. Tolerance can develop without the development of dependence, and dependence can occur without the development of tolerance.

Moreover, the review highlighted the importance of distinguishing between tolerance and dependence in the treatment of substance use disorders. Effective treatment approaches may need to address both tolerance and dependence to achieve optimal outcomes.

Fluctuations in CBD effectiveness can vary depending on age, genetics, sex, metabolism, weight, dosage, type & quality of product, and experience with CBD.

While CBD may not produce tolerance, fluctuations in effectiveness can occur and may vary depending on several factors. Age, genetics, sex, metabolism, weight, dosage, type and quality of product, and experience with CBD can all influence the effectiveness of CBD.

For example, a study published in the Journal of Clinical Psychopharmacology found that younger participants with lower body weight experienced greater anxiety reduction with CBD compared to older participants with higher body weight. The study suggested that differences in metabolism and body composition may be responsible for the varying effects.

Moreover, a review published in the Journal of Clinical Medicine highlighted the potential influence of genetic factors on the effectiveness of CBD. Genetic variations can impact the activity of enzymes involved in CBD metabolism, which can affect the amount of CBD that reaches its target receptors.

These findings suggest that personalized dosing and treatment approaches may be necessary to optimize the effectiveness of CBD for various health conditions. It is important to work with a healthcare professional and choose high-quality CBD products to ensure safe and effective use.

Is Your Topical CBD Cream Putting You at Risk of Failing a Drug Test?

Hey there! Are you curious about whether using CBD cream or lotion can make you fail a drug test? Well, let’s talk about it!

hemp plant for cbd
hemp plant for cbd topicals

What IS CBD

First of all, let’s clarify what CBD is. CBD stands for cannabidiol, which is a compound found in the cannabis plant. It’s not the same thing as THC, which is the compound that can get you high. CBD is known for its potential therapeutic benefits, such as reducing pain and inflammation.

In Theory They Test For THC

Now, when it comes to drug tests, they usually screen for THC, not CBD. So, in theory, using a CBD topical shouldn’t make you fail a drug test. However, there are a few things to keep in mind.

Type of CBD You Are Using

One thing to consider is the type of CBD product you’re using. Some products may be labeled as full spectrum actually contain trace amounts of THC (less than 3%). If you want to be sure you’re using a THC-free CBD product, look for ones that are labeled as “broad-spectrum” or “CBD isolate.”

In general, if you’re using a high-quality CBD product and not using an excessive amount, you should be fine – but if you want to be 100% certain you will pass our best advice is to not use any CBD products – topical or orally!. But if still want to use it, you can always ask your doctor or the person administering the drug test about their policies regarding CBD use.

If Your Job Has Zero Tolerance

So, can topical CBD show up on a drug test? It’s possible, but pretty unlikely. Just be sure to use a quality product and use it responsibly, and you should be good to go!

If you are in a job that has a zero tolerance for THC the best option is to not use any CBD product. We have heard of some people failing a test because they just consumed hemp seeds.

And remember, if you’re ever feeling anxious or stressed about drug tests or anything else, take a deep breath and relax. Life’s too short to worry too much about these things. Just enjoy your CBD cream and let the good vibes flow!

Can a pregnant woman use CBD muscle balm?

The safety of using CBD creams and balms while pregnant has received little research. According to some studies, CBD may pose risks for the development of the fetus, including a higher risk of low birth weight and diminished cognitive function. Other research, however, has not discovered any negative effects of CBD use while pregnant. As a result, it’s crucial to discuss the use of any CBD products, including CBD muscle balm, with your healthcare provider before use.

Alternative Pregnancy Pain Relief Options

There are alternatives to CBD cream and topicals that may be safer if you are pregnant and experiencing pain. Options to think about include:

  • Heat or cold therapy
  • Physical therapy
  • Prenatal massage
  • Acupuncture
  • Meditation and relaxation techniques

It’s important to talk to your healthcare provider about which options are safe for you and your baby.

Conclusion: Pregnancy Pain Relief Recommendations

Although CBD muscle balm may help with pain relief, there is not enough data to determine whether it is safe to use during pregnancy. Because of this, it’s best to err on the side of caution and steer clear of CBD products, such as CBD muscle balm, while expecting. Consult your healthcare provider about alternative pain relief techniques that might be safe for both you and your unborn child if you’re experiencing pain while pregnant. Keep in mind that your and your child’s health and welfare come first.

Tendonitis is a common condition that affects many people, causing pain and inflammation in the tendons. While there are traditional treatments available for tendonitis, many individuals are turning to natural remedies, such as CBD cream, for relief. In this article, we will explore the benefits of CBD cream for tendonitis and how to use it effectively.

What is CBD cream and how does it work?

CBD cream is a topical product that contains cannabidiol (CBD), a natural compound found in the hemp plant. When applied topically, CBD cream interacts with the body’s endocannabinoid system, which plays a role in regulating pain, inflammation, and other bodily functions. CBD cream works by reducing inflammation and pain in the affected area, providing relief without any psychoactive effects. If you want to start with a low dosage of CBD then try the 2000mg cream.

What is Tendonitis and what are its causes?

Tendonitis is a condition that occurs when a tendon becomes inflamed or irritated, usually as a result of repetitive motion or overuse. Common causes of tendonitis include sports-related activities, manual labor, and aging. Symptoms of tendonitis include pain, stiffness, and tenderness in the affected area.

How can CBD cream help with Tendonitis?

There are several ways that CBD cream can reduce tendonitis-related pain and inflammation. First of all, CBD cream relieves pain and swelling by reducing inflammation in the affected area. In addition to promoting relaxation and lowering muscle tension, CBD cream can also help to relieve pain and stiffness. Additionally, CBD cream is a natural treatment, making it a secure and efficient substitute for conventional pain relief techniques.

How to use CBD cream for Tendonitis

It’s crucial to carefully follow the instructions on the label when using CBD cream for tendonitis. Typically, a small amount of CBD cream should be applied to the troublesome area and gently massaged in until fully absorbed. Everybody’s body responds to CBD differently, so it’s important to start with a small dose and gradually increase as needed.

Does CBD Cream Show Up in a Drug Test? | What You Need to Know

CBD cream is a popular topical application used for pain relief and skincare. However, for those who are subject to drug tests, there is a concern about whether CBD cream will cause a failed drug test. In this article, we will discuss the key factors you need to know to make an informed decision about using CBD cream.

What is CBD?

CBD, short for cannabidiol, is a natural compound found in the cannabis plant. Unlike THC, another compound found in cannabis, CBD is non-psychoactive, meaning it does not produce a “high” effect.

How Does CBD Cream Work?

CBD hemp cream is absorbed through the skin and interacts with the body’s endocannabinoid system, which regulates various physiological processes such as pain, mood, and appetite. CBD cream has been found to be effective in reducing pain and inflammation, as well as improving skin health.

Do Drug Tests Detect CBD Cream?

Drug tests are designed to detect the presence of THC, not CBD.

Factors that Affect Drug Test Results

The amount and frequency of CBD cream used can impact the THC levels in the body, which can affect drug test results. It’s important to note that some CBD products contain trace amounts of THC, and using these products regularly or in high doses can increase the risk of THC showing up in a drug test. Additionally, different drug tests have varying sensitivity levels to THC, which can also impact test results.

Tips to Ensure Passing a Drug Test

To reduce the risk of a failed drug test, it’s important to choose CBD cream products that are low in THC or contain no THC at all. It’s also important to be transparent with employers about CBD cream use to avoid any misunderstandings. Lastly, allowing enough time for the body to clear THC from the system can also reduce the risk of a failed drug test.

We have even heard of some customers who have taken hemp seed oils orally that have zero THC and the test will flag them as having THC. So to really be sure to pass a drug test it is our recommendation that you stop all consumption of hemp or CBD orally or topically for at least 30 days or more.

Conclusion

In conclusion, CBD cream is a safe and effective topical application for pain relief and skincare. While it’s unlikely to show up in a drug test, it’s important to be informed about the factors that can affect test results and take steps to ensure a negative test result. By following these tips, you can continue to use CBD cream and enjoy its benefits without worrying about a failed drug test.
